Ancient tomb of Pomorie is located west of the town of Pomorie, near the road Pomorie – Burgas. The tomb dates back to the II – III c. AD. Hr. It is believed that it served zaheroon (mausoleum) of a rich Anhialo family, which have performed religious pagan rituals. The tomb consists of a corridor (dromos) with a length of 22 meters and a circular chamber with a diameter of 11.60 meters and a height of 5.50 meters. It is built of stone and bricks. The tomb is vaulted with a semi-cylindrical vault in the center of which is a hollow column with a diameter of 3.30 meters, which extends upward and merges with the outer wall. On the inside wall of the hollow column was winding stone staircase, which is removal of the surface of the mound. In the circular wall of the tomb has five niches in which were placed urns of the deceased. It is assumed that the walls were painted, but today visitors can see only traces of green plaster.
